Just started reading Cities in Flight, and I have a question:

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Just started reading Cities in Flight, and I have a question:

How loud are the storms of Jupiter?
>>
Does the book say? You really need a first-hand account of that kinda thing.

In all seriousness, loud as fuck I bet.
>>
The storms are a lot more energetic, and Jupiter's atmosphere is denser, so they'd be a hell of a louder.
>>

Impossibly loud.

But nothing worth listening to

How loud is your head in a bubble in liquid lead/bismuth when that glorious nuclear wave erupts on the horizon and runs through you and it?

Itll sound fucking awesome, right?

WHO NEEDS TO HEAR WHEN NOTHING IN THE WORLD IS LEFT TO LISTEN TO??????
>>
VERY LOUD

>>
>>7946997
>Troll. No one can be that dumb to deny the existence of sound in an atmosphere
>>
>>7946924
Only 55 decibels?
>>

>But nothing worth listening to
There is lightening everywhere
There is a huge continuous electrical discharge that goes between the poles via the moon Io.

Some of us lead more interesting lives than the rest of us.
>>
>>7945936
I asked my professor and he told me around 170 desibels
>>
-1/12 decibels
>>
Well duh, they're the loudest storms in the universe cause Jupiter is the largest planet in the universe
>>
600 gazillion decibles
>>
>>7946997
earth is in space
>>
>>7945936
Did you know that the red spot on Jupiter has been shrinking, and could disappear completely in our life time?
>>
>>7948319
Like neptune's dissapearing and reappearing dark spots it will probably get a new one soon enough after. I'm more worried about Saturn's hexagonal polar storm disappearing before we can figure out how it works.

History channel said it was aliens.
