how do I learn to design audio without becoming a fucking CS faggot?
I'm not very good at gay nerd shit like math.
I'm not a CS nerd, I'm just an art guy trying to make games.

this post doesn't make sense
>art guy
this post makes sense
>>7937726
what makes you think that has anything to do with science or math
>>7937726
no you didnt
at least research before you do your shitty troll attempts
>>7937741
nope
just like social science isn't science

I dunno, there must be some audio engineer here in this board, that's why I made this thread.
>>7937741
It's called acoustics
>>7937754
i dont think so, no.
what do you mean "designing audio" anyway? composing music? learn to compose. mixing? learn to mix. that's all you need. if you don't know music at all, start by learning to play piano and read sheet music, then to compose.
I don't get what CS has to do with anything
>>7937741
If it involved thermodynamics then yes
>>7937763
oh
you're going to have to study sound, yeah it's called acoustics
but hey, you can probably download countless samples of sounds online, right? You probably want to blackbox this if you're just starting out, i'm sure you have bigger problems

I was looking at this.
Learn what the Fourier transform is about, at least. It's the most important part of DSP engineering (if that's what you're trying to do) and it'll let you do things like bandpass filters, phasing and flanging effects.

there's a shitload of tools here in any of them, it's going to take a while to learn. I recommend looking for a forum that deals with this stuff and asking for advice

Just in name. It's added to make it sound more technical than it actually is. It's practically an art form by itself. The creation of the softwares used are very much engineering, but I'm assuming you don't want to work that bare bones. Try /mu/
