Looked at the PBS channel and saw two successive videos about farts, "What Planet Is Super Mario World?", and "Should the First Mars Mission Be All Women?".

Pop science is dumbed down and often wrong or misleading. It's also annoying how long they take to explain something that can be explained in a couple sentences. They'll make half hour videos with all kinds of special effect bullshit for something that can be succinctly explained in a paragraph.
