2) is the tricky one. Unless they're returning to a base no further than Mars, and even that would be pushing it a bit in terms of credible manned missions, you're pretty screwed. Your only option really would be to have one of the alien vessels crashland due to malfunction or get shot down

1, They came for our immorality and experience killing things for personal gain. they dont understad the concept, but are fighting a losing war with some other alien race and need help.

plot twist, the third lien race is somehow related to us, as in from the future, from the past, or some artificial race gone rogue, or alternate dimension humans, whatever.

Aliens capable of crossing vast distances have no need for natural resources on Earth. the only thing that would be useful about humans is either study our biology or our culture. For the firmer you just need a lot of corpses. For the latter you might want to "sample" some humans. So that is your point 1.

Point 2 is not plausible. Rather connect this with point 1 and let a group THINK they succeeded to locate and travel to the aliens, release their fellow humans and return to Earth,. living happily ever after. While in reality this second party also also already captured, living out a dream that is monitored by the aliens.

1) Humans would be kidnapped for the alien pet trade.
2) The aliens like to leave rocks when they visit earth like some humans do at pilgrimage sites. By analysizing the mineral composition of the rocks, it could give an idea what type of solar system they come from.
