Jesus fuck, /sci/. I just woke up from a terrifying nightmare. The worst part is that I have had it before. And the worst part about that is that the last time I had it was two years ago and was far removed from my conscious mind.
Anybody know if it's normal to have dreams years down the line even though you've completely forgotten it? Like, this I'm genuinely curious if this is a thing that happens to other people to this extent and why.
Whats the dream ?

Me and my parents go to a funeral home in the middle of a cemetery. My dad is going there to get some sort of a medical check up for some reason and there's a burn victim writhing in pain on the autopsy table my dad's going to be lying on.
Afterwards, I end up alone in the cemetery with this man following me. I know he's there, but when I look he'll be somewhere else. The entire experience is fucking horrifying and I'm not about to try and fall back asleep now.

Well, pushing the dream will only makes it come back. Confrontation is the solution. If you don't freak out and let the dream play out, the mind can get rid of it. As long as you can't it keeps it in its subconscious.
