Hey I started learning Python from the online Google developers' course. Been at it for a couple of weeks now.
A friend (the one who convinced me to take on the challenge and learn it) has invited me to a hackathon.
I generally understand what a hackathon is, roughly, but I am trying to vision how it will be there and what I will find myself doing; he believes it will be a great environment and help me learning and developing - do you agree?
What things should I keep in mind when I go?
How can I make the most of it and find the most leverage that will help me improving and learning programming?
How to become a programmer, for 4chan degenerates:
Step 1: watch some videos about a single programming language.
Step 2: participate in a hackathon.
Let me guess, you're one of these people who thinks that computer science isn't a real science.

Wrong anon is wrong.
I don't think I'll put more effort into replying to you than saying that everyone starts off somewhere.
