So wait, when hydrogen fuses to form helium, where do the neutrons come from?

My ass

Does the energy released from the fusion create the neutrons?

don't you mean absorbed? how would it form from energy being released?

it's not normal hydrogen that fuses, it's deuterium with an extra neutron or tritium with 2 extra neutrons. That also accounts for the energy that is released. Also you drawing of hydrogen is false it misses a neutron.

Deuterium(hydrogen isotope with two neutrons) fuses with tritium(hydrogen with three neutrons) to make helium
