Why do people STILL deny that human activity has a large role in climate change? Do people still honestly believe oil companies would never lie to them?
There's no reason to get worked up about it because the government will only make things worse.

Why do people STILL believe that human activity has a large role in climate change? Do people still honestly believe the government would never lie to them?

>implying anthropogenic climate change was made up by the US government and that the VAST majority of climate scientists WORLDWIDE are lying
>>7760168
>government
World government, you need global "problems" to install it.
Witches will be burned.
>>7760179
It's a really easy way for them to get that sweet government funding.
>>7760179
>the VAST majority of climate scientists WORLDWIDE are lying
>implying the vast majority of climate scientists who want to disprove anthropogenic climate change get any funding
>>7760179
if you want to prove something, you have to falsify it, not look for more evidence because you can always cherrypick.
>>7760186
>implying oil companies, who would be largely blamed for the warming, would NOT lie and pour millions into lobbying groups
>>7760192
>If you want to prove something, you have to falsify it
>>7760188
They get funding from Big Oil.
Remember those scientists who were paid by tobacco companies to deflect any claims of the negative effects of smoking. Does this not at all sound FAMILIAR?
>>7760158
Usually it boils down to fear. They fear big government more than they fear big oil, or even climate change should it come. It's hard to say that the sentiment is entirely unfounded either.
Time will make all deniers of anthropogenic climate change fools. Acknowledging its existance doesn't stop the snowball from rolling. Too little too late.
>>7760208
Yeah the problem is that it doesn't make sense. If you falsify something you've disproved it. so basically you are advocating ignoring the massive amount of evidence for AGW and believing it's false because it makes you feel better.

Just a few sources. But I bet you will ignore them anyways
>>7760158
>large role in climate change
not really
>>7760248
>4% man-made part of climate change
SOURCE? (scientific not tabloid)
>>7760248
How did you calculate 4% as the man-made part of climate change?
>>7760248
Oh damn, that image looks legit. Everybody pack it in, threads over.
>>7760158
This thread is stupid. Why doesn't sci have any constructive threads anymore?
>>7760277
Do you think the people on /sci/ are actual SCIENTISTS?! This is 4chan for non-existent God's sake.
>>7760158
>>7760237
The climate funding described here is trivial.
>>7761569
Source that governments give substantial money to scientists to find biased information supporting AGW?
>>7760158
>Why do people STILL deny that human activity has a large role in climate change?
Because having them doing so is profitable to a number of influential groups and companies.
>>7760168
>Do people still honestly believe the government would never lie to them?
Hang on - What exactly are you claiming here?
Are you trying to say the we should reject everything a government has ever said, no matter what other information we have? Or are you implying that people who accept AGW do so only because governments say so?
Because both of those are retarded.
