HPMOR is a damn good story if you can get past the autistic main character. Same with TWC.

I think what went wrong is that lesswrong was always more of a collection of insight porn than a real self-sustaining community, and kinda died when the constant stream of insight porn stopped.

I thought it was disjointed, meandering, and at times legitimately stupid but that's just an opinion.
