ORBITAL CYGNUS LAUNCH TO ISS
LESS THAN 10 MINUTES UNTIL LAUNCH
>>7699471
here's hoping for better weather....
FLIGHT CONTROL IS NO GO!
http://strawpoll.me/6178705
Been reset, another 10 mins
>>7699483
caused by a gust of wind, apparently.
(sad that these rockets that go Mach 10 can't handle a little bad weather on the ground).
all systems go!
weather is clear!
22:48:12 is new T-0
ready for fireworks
terminal count has started

On hold now

Whats that stuff pissing out the side of it?
window is only 30 minutes so they best get this thing in the air this time

liquid oxygen fuel
it heats up while it sits on the launch pad so the excess has be to released. This is also partly why there are so many tubes/cords hanging off it
they pump in more as it boils off so it's still full when they finally launch
>>7699532
they need a real-time wind ground speed overlay
It's all up to the wind, now.
>>7699555
pfffrt
who's the qt that hosts that station live thing on nasa tv?
>>7699555
Mother Nature is trolling NASA.
>>7699553
with NASA you are lucky to get an HD stream
the shitty software the meteorologist uses during his preflight brief looks like it was designed for windows 95
>>7699471
Lol somecunt bitching in comments under the video because there was only 1 woman heard
Actually getting a pretty good feed on Spaceflghtnow.com

I guess a bra is rather unnecessary in space unless your tits are huge and keep flopping around.
>>7699678
Somebody needs to do this. Now.
>>7701564
This but Sunday gonna scrub anyway do too shit weather.
40% possibility for launch today, fingers crossed
>>7699518
That is why they switched to the Atlas V which has only had one partial failure and was still considered a mission success.
>>7703453
up to 70%, launch in 15 minutes
>>7703913
T-3m
where is the purpose o fthis rocket
>>7703940
To go fast enough to put stuff into orbit. Big flame. Much smoke. Such speed
>>7703940
Replacement for last year's failed Antares Cygnus cargo delivery to the ISS
Perfect flight so far, a few minutes until it attains orbit.
Science Hardware: 847kg
Crew Supplies: 1,181kg
Vehicle Hardware: 1,007kg
EVA Equipment: 227kg
Computer Resources: 87kg
Total Cargo with packaging: 3,513.1kg

Deployed successfully to orbit! New solar array design; deployment is in about 30 minutes.
Second stage rocket-cam was especially lovely today, with the oblique sunlight on the ocean and clouds, and lots of motor gimbaling for the dogleg maneuver.
>>7704051
How many UFO's did you see, I saw 5
>>7704051
Yeah i love watching the separation events and the gimbaling.
Do anyone know why they don't show the whole flight from the rockets camera? Every launch video i've seen has been a mix of ground camera, onboard camera and flight animations. Is it because of line-of-sight/horizon? It would be pretty cool to see the entire flight from the rockets perspective.
And no, i dont belive they do it to hide the flat earth from us or anything. Just looking for an actual reason for it.
>>7704057
>I saw 5
swamp gas science will explain them away
