Honestly? Past high school its just people who have never done what they're teaching because they suck at it. So they teach you some bullshit until you find a job and it gets corrected. The parties are cool though.

In my country (Nicaragua) we have the same problem in education: is also about memorizing a bunch of info, without any analytical thinking.
I think that not all teachers induce analytical thinking as a tool to solve problems, because they don't have it neither...
