Depends on your definition of "gay". This is completely a semantics discussion, however, it is easy to argue for which definition of "gay" is more useful (between the one that contains liking traps and the one that doesn't).
We shouldn't view words in a vacuum, and given a word as important as "gay" (considering many self-identify as this, and it's used to group people very often) we want whatever definition of it used to properly identify some common trait that we can construct a group out of. So let's take a look at some cases and see how these differing definitions of "gay" work out:
1. A man, from the outside, looks completely like a woman.
Def 1: liking the body of is gay
Def 2: liking the body of is not gay
2. A man, from the outside, looks completely like a man.
Def 1: liking the body of is gay
Def 2: liking the body of is gay
3. A woman, from the outside, looks completely like a woman.
Def 1: liking the body is not gay
Def 2: liking the body is not gay
4. A woman, from the outside, looks completely like a man.
Def 1: liking the body is not gay
Def 2: liking the body is gay
These cases isolate the difference between the two definitions. Definition two appears to depend entirely on feminine vs masculine features, whereas definition one depends entirely on XY vs XX chromosomes.
So let's take a scenario. Two men have dating profiles on some website, both currently set to straight. They both masturbate to a trap without realizing it. Later, after coming, they are told that the person they masturbated to was born male. Man number 1 uses the "FvM features" definition, and so he stays secure in his sexuality and keeps his dating profile as "straight", man number 2 things that traps are gay, and so he is now gay. He is forced to switch his dating profile to "bisexual" at which point his inbox is flooded with large gay men asking to pound his ass into oblivion.

Which definition has proved to be more useful? I leave you to decide.
