I've ruined 3 microwaves doing this on accident. the family in this picture caught it early. if you let it go the full 3 minutes (the time it takes to make one of those ramens) then it melts the cup, the noodles are all black, it starts smoking and fills up the house, and leaves the insides of the microwave all black and smelly.
