The problem is, OP, that you probably aren't seeing all the posts. If you are just viewing [s4s] through the /s4s/ board, you don't see the green posts, the posts with letters in their ids, or anything numberless. Together, those make up about 40-70 percent of [s4s], depending on the day. So conversation will appear disjointed and spastic, because you won't be getting the full picture.

I actually just flipped over to the /s4s/ interface to make this post, and it's pretty funny how unintelligible [s4s] is like this.

I'm gonna go with a serious response here.

/s4s/ is completely, blissfully unchained from the need to maintain a regulated identity. Posters here KNOW everything that's wrong with the modern /b/ and the internet in general, whereas the /b/ of 2013 is more a place for people from all over the internet who are feeling edgy that day to come and post. /b/ has atrophied into the same repetitive threads: porn, rolls, risk threads, wincest, and so on.

/s4s/ is inherently shitty, producing 100% deliberately shitty, worthless content, but everything is spontaneous, on a whim, temperamental, original - /s4s/ is similar in nature to the old /b/ - a tepid swamp of ideas, where creativity festers. The virus-jungle of OC that is /s4s/ is not a hostile place, it is not a welcoming place. It is merely indifferent.

/s4s/ is the fulfillment of Prophecy, really. Its existence is destiny. The gravitation of internet-culture towards watered-down social-hivemind Redditdom was parroted by the initial premise of /s4s/ - /s4s/ was born from ashes, molded in the image of the Enemy. /s4s/ in its current form arose out of that Tartarus and became something free and beautiful, sprouting the wings of a creature long thought to be extinct.

/s4s/ is mocked. /s4s/ is a bad joke. /s4s/ is shit. /s4s/ is the last great hope of the internet.
