sure! well on 4cham I can spam attrocious threads and get attention for them by samefigging in them for hours straight so it's great for getting my content seen compared to Reddit where it will immediately die. also if you want to have a serious discussion but your an idiot with baseless claims you get equal weight for them as someone who knows what they're talking about because nobody gets upvotes or cites sources here so you can just make stuffed up and your fine :3

heh this is what nu4channers actually believe. 4chan and reddit's communities are almost entirely homogenized; there isn't a popular website with a culture distinct from the wider internet anymore. the reason for the enmity towards reddit was to keep out the kind of posters who still hate on reddit now

see, here I can easily spot someone who came here about 5 years ago but is definitely not around for like 8 or more years. Namefigging was fun on 4chan, but that toxic influx of people who came here with the perception of 4chan being the internet hate muhchine brought too much seriousposting.

those ppl didn't get that a lot of times namefigging is just fun and a way to play. tripcodes is a different issue though, I see that some figs are kinda cancerous when using tripcodes. but esp here on s4s we got some of that old stuff, that made 4chan fun, namely fortune, dubs and namefigging.

What I like about 4chan is that figs are less shallow here and that's because of some of the things you mentioned for sure. F.e. pulling of a project like esfores music on reddit would be much easier but imho less creative. here it's not about getting your name big, it's just about the creation of OC and enjoying yourself. Some of us do use namefigs for that project, but it might be one name on one albume and another on the next. it does help to organize things on an omnomnibus webpage tho tbh. I barely namefig, cuz I enjoy bein anon and only being judged by my content. it doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.
