It turns out all the old memes were posted by one maybe two people who posted them constantly and created all the content around them. When they left, their memes left with them. Only Nice Girl/Bury Pink was posted by more than a couple people and thus still maintains itself to this day

everyone here now is fairly new to 4chan so they're still in that phase of fascination with anonymous posting where they lack any sort of restraint or criticalthought about what they're doing which results in blatant and uncreative shitposting, and since no one else knows any better they just assume that's the norm and it perpetuates itself until s4s is a mostly unusable board full of unfunny garbage. thanks

The problem is, OP, that you probably aren't seeing all my posts. If you are just viewing [s4s] through the catalog, you don't see my great posts, the posts with handcrafted images, or any of my creative replies. Together, those make up about 40-70 percent of the original content on [s4s], depending on the day. So [s4s] will appear stale and boring, because you won't be seeing all my great posts.

I actually just flipped over to the catalog interface to make this post, and it's pretty funny how pointless [s4s] is like this.

Both of these left [s4s] vulnerable to the roaming [a/jp]sies, who have decided to make camp here on [s4s]. It's not that the mods have forsaken us, it's that [s4s] has always been self-moderating. If you're tired of lewd anime threads, it's your responsibility to make new threads and bump high quality threads.
