The original JP lines didn't have kek in them, it was just dumb 2ch slang and they changed it to 4chan slang when they ported the game. The character saying it is a "hip nerd" bastardization. So yeah, it's pretty much making fun of 4chan's kek/topkek usage, even though it technically did come from Warcraft all those years ago. It wouldn't be relevant today without /s4s/ and /pol/ shitposting. Good dubs.
