Taking the easy, dishonest, and destructive way out. Things would be better of without them even if nobody replaced them. Their behavior encourages poor behavior. They are legitimately awful at their job with no redeeming features.

Go on, just look at what they think is alright. Everything they do is hardly a inch in the right direction, but they fall flat on their face because they refuse to go as far as they need to. In the end they do more damage than good. The most worthless person on the team by far.

Go on, justify them to me with the words of an unbiased and responsible adult. You literally can't.

Yeah, but what if you know those people regularly make things worse for the people that are supposed to be there? A staff member that ends up making things worse for the customer is a bad employee, and a customer that makes it bad for other customers is a bad customer. There is no getting around it. Happiness in an environment has several variables, even down to an employee not being knowledgeable about a product, and especially when they refuse to learn about a commonly requested item.
