What I find nice about anarcho-syndicalism is that it's really just a basis, a small set of rules on which a society should function. The rest is done by people whom compose this society. It's not intrinsically incompatible which, let's say, money, some nationalism or free market for example. It's also the very con of this ideology by the way.

There were pretty interesting experiments done during the war, and for something which "isn't supposed to work in theory", anarchists did have working communes and good armies, and also powerful enemies who did everything to crush them. In fact, their main enemy was the authoritarian communists rather than Francoist Spain.

A lot of people here mix punks or lost students with anarcho-syndicalists to fit their narrow political view, but they are quite nice people, you probably couldn't tell they are anarchists unless you talk with them.
