I am visiting a friend in Moscow. Naturally, he would show me the city, the most interesting sights and, of course, ride the Metro with me. Today, we entered the Metro after two days of joyous alcoholism. I was sitting near the door with my friend right next to me. We drove into the next station and the car came to a halt. Suddenly, a pungent medicinal smell filled the car. At the very back of our section, a new “passenger” entered. A large, shiny object was floating above the floor right in front of our eyes, rustling quietly. The air to its left appeared somewhat wavy - at first it looked a lot like the kind of blur that can be observed above hot surfaces, but then it started to take on what could only be described as human form. Our new guest floated slowly through the air between the rows of passengers, when I threw my first glance at him. On its surface, we noticed some strange kind of lettering, but neither of us could decipher what it said. The humanoid entity followed it closely the entire time, and when the strange duo was passing our seats, I had a chance to have a closer look at the “ghost”: a scrawny, pale figure, his arms bent in front of his torso, indicating extreme discomfort. He wore a tattered t-shirt with sprinkles of dried mucus on it. On top of his head, he had an unbrushed old wig which might as well have been a dead rodent. The worst thing though was his face- disfigured is an understatement. The wrinkly mug was twisted in a horrifying grimace of pain. A thick rusty red lump of flesh protruded from his mouth, giving the impression that the thing was about to puke. My first thought was that this had to be a mask. A prank. But people didn’t seem to care at all. I, however, was struck by fear, disgust and pity at the same time. I reached for my camera, but by the time I found it in my bag, we arrived at the next station where both apparitions got off. Pic related is what I managed to snap at the last second before the door shut after them.
