A normie is someone who usually doesn't visit 4chan, they are often unfamiliar with it's systems and how it functions.

1) No way, familia! While it is generally assumed that posters on 4chan are rude to each other, the truth is that most posters are actually mentally disturbed, autistic, or full-on retarded. There is a thing called tough love, and if you stick around long enough, you will learn to see through the hate to the niceness that lies within :^)

2)This is very difficult to quantify, but essentially a normie is someone who falls 60% or more into the "Status Quo" persona of their age group. This includes everything from nationality to sexual orientation, and even drifts into the category of mental capability, or the lack there-of. Normie's believe the Main Stream Media, can't wait for Pumkpin Spice season, and are fully responsible for the popularization of meme culture. This, above all else, is the main reason that the retarded, mentally-ill posters of 4chan often demonize normies, wanting them to go off of their precious boards; the final safe space they have left to occupy in this harsh, cruel world.
