Hello everyone, kek here. I'd like to talk about the events of the past few
days, but only as it relates to what I see as the future of the board. And that
is that I don't see the room having much of a future under the current
moderation. The main issue being, as I've said many times, that they keep
shitposting all the time, which directly affects the flow of new users into the
board. It's very simple. It's the concept of the barrier of entry that they
can't seem to grasp. And all it is is them abdicating their responsibilities as
moderators, their job, one of them, is to "moderate", and shitposting all the time enables them to vacate this responsibility and it stunts the growth of the board.

And, with most things, in fact, 99% of the time, if
something isn't growing, it's decaying. And I think this is definitely the case
with the board if you've just watched the users. We do have memes, the
release of new memes, to drive traffic to s4s, but s4s has survived
the release of, I want to say megamemes at this point and we kind of
stagnated, I don't think that we can rely on the release of new memes alone to
1. prevent the users of the board from stagnating, and 2. just to prevent the
board from dying altogether from the lack of users. So, and one of the problems
is that we all are on 4chan, right. We all are on 4chan with this
attitude of "I'm gonna say what I want to say", and that's healthy. That's
good. But the problem comes when you've got egos rubbing up against each other,
and between normal users this wouldn't really be an issue. But between
namefags, when namefags let their ego get in the way of their posts, then
you've got an issue. Then you've got instances such as me being ignored, and
there was a semi-legitimate reason for me being ignored, of course. I won't deny
that I did leak the board, but I view that as an act of civil disobedience, as I
said. And because the mods failed to intervene on my behalf when power abuse
was going on. But, anyway, when you've got these abrasive 4chan personalities
of course there's gonna be personality problems, and when the namefags are
subsceptible to this, you get power abuse.

And it defines the character of the
board, really, they're saying "I'm deciding which personalities are permissible
in the board", so they're defining the character of the board, they're defining
the growth of the board - they have a lot of power and they don't take that
seriously at all. And if we want to see the board continue in the coming years,
and we want to see the character grow and change - and like I said, if
something isn't growing and changing, it's decaying - so if we want to see that
happen, we need some new namefags. So this rant would be an appeal to swaglord,
it would be an appeal to hiro, to just clean house. Get rid of these guys.
We've had enough. We've seen meme abuse, again and again, we've seen them
botch their namefagging, of the influx of new users, and we've seen the s4s
users, the total number of users, just decay over time over their care. And if
we go back in time and we look at what the namefag list used to look like,
way back when the board was first created, Moot was very liberal accepting namefags. He would acccept pretty much anybody that had been around for
any amount of time. Which obviously wasn't the way to go. And I think we've
seen him swing all the way in the other direction, which is to say he's been
very specific and very stingy with the acceptance of namefags, and I think it's
just a lot of nepotism and a lot of sycophants getting promoted, and it's kind
of this central problem with authority on the internet which is in reality, if
you show strength of character, you will get promoted to a memetic position.
On the internet, there's no real consequences to anything generally, so the
only thing you need to get promoted to a position of memes on the internet
is not character, you just have to be a people pleaser. You just have to not
step on any toes and be around long enough, so...
