Anyway, the short version of what the fuck happened to Filly Funtasia is this: (this is not completely proven, but theorized to be the most likely scenario by the diehard Filly fans)

1. Show announced for release in early 2014.
2. During the winter between 2013 and 2014, Filly IP owner Dracco splits with Simba, the toy producer for Filly. Simba is the one who broke off the licensing deal. Dracco sues them for it in a Hong Kong court and loses. Series is delayed while the toy situation is sorted out. Meanwhile, Simba signs a deal with Hasbro to produce Transformers toys for them, even though Hasbro had preciously sued Simba twice in the Netherlands. Hmm....
3. After failing with yet another deal with another toy manufacturer (though this one was amicably terminated with no lawsuits), Dracco starts producing the toys themselves.
4. While they're successful in doing this, they are not successful in reestablishing their toy distribution network in the Iberian region. (along with several other regions like Scandinavia and UK) Part of the deal between Dracco and the animation company BRB was that BRB would get toy profits from Iberia. Production is stalled (or slowed down significantly) again until Dracco can get back into the Iberian market. Meanwhile, the Filly toys are apparently selling well in Russia/Ukraine/Poland.
5. In the summer of 2016, BRB gets tired of waiting and breaks off the agreement, deleting everything Filly Funtasia-related from their websites and pretending it never existed. Dracco apparently retains the rights for all the Filly Funtasia material BRB has produced (since they're still using it for random things) and seemingly intends to resume production, presumably with another animation studio.
