Does anyone else notice the blatant numerism in this cover art? Look at the font size for “Etrian Odyssey” vs “IV”. It's like they're telling me, the customer: “Don't worry about what the series is, all you care about is that this is the FOURTH game. Numbers are better, because you can choose the bigger ones. Ignore those insignificant letters.”
Look at “Legends of the Titan”, too. That's arguably the most important text on the cover, since it's the only text which uniquely identifies the game. There have been other Etrian Odyssey games, there have been other fourth games, others rated T, by ATLUS, for the 3DS, etc. But there's only one “Legends of the Titan”, and that text is relegated to nearly the smallest font size. Only “Content rated by ESRB” or “TM”.
“But Anon!” you say. “The IV is spelled with letters!”. Pah. Don't give me that crap. That's even worse, because the numbers are now masquerading as letters. What's next? Excel spreadsheets with the first digit of each row in historiated intials? Ligatures for repeated zeros? If it were up to me, numbers would be represented in monospaced, monochrome typewriter fonts only, so that they wouldn't deceive anyone like this.
