There was a man named Ba'ati Pompachello.
He was a gifted person. His dreams were special.
Every night a cacophony of twisted primal sounds would seep into his mind stemming from the deep recesses of the planet.
As time passed his nighttime visions increased in intensity and so did his activity whilst asleep.
At first he would sit up eyes ablaze as if another entity been sucked inside him and was taken aback by his new, obtuse surroundings.
Eventually he began partaking in enigmatic activities whilst aslumber; the construction of forbidden machines possessing non-euclidean geometry with spokes and spools pointing at impossible angle.
Staring at these machines for an extended period of time would scar the mind and produce nose bleeds.
Every morning Ba'ati would wake up, completely oblivious of his actions and unaware of the meaning behind his machines and the otherworldly properties his inventions exhibited.
Ba'ati died in his sleep on a stormy night of June 1982.
He had been working on a new machine over a period of three months and it was finally coming to fruition.
The latest machine was of such magnitude that it had taken the entirety of his guest bedroom and three quarters of the landing.
Construction was completed and the machine was switched on by yanking a turgid metal lever. It was entirely mechanical and did not require electricity to run.
It began producing images. They were... unsanitary.

These images would burn into the the retinas of all who gazed upon them.
Over the week preceding his death the rate of printing increased exponentially and the grotesqueness of their depictions followed suit.
The walls of his home began to crack and blackened with fetid mildew. Tremors could be felt near his home around the clock.
A vast mist engulfed the entire village that burned the lungs to inhale.
Then the event reached its climax.
An engraven image twelve feet by twelve feet was produced.
The surviving witnesses who saw it all recounted vastly different stories of it's appearance.
Onlookers broke off fingernails, embedded within their cheekbones as they tried to claw their eyes out.
A vast force emerged from within the depths of the earth's crust and flung the house and several kilometres of bedrock into the upper atmosphere.
The remains of those who perished were never released to the public. Those who were confirmed dead were only verified through DNA evidence.
Strange gemstones exhibiting unexpected properties are often found within his village.
Every few years small pieces of the machine's products are discovered, hundreds of miles from the town that birthed them.
