whts th'def of V, alph, n s_i?
>>
>>4963684
That is not an alpha (α), it's a proportional sign (∝).
I have no idea why it's there.
>>
>>4963684
V is the volume of the room, and s_i is the absorption coefficient for each sound absorbing material. idk what the ln() factor is about though
>>
>>4963808
oh the ln() describes and area of some sort, probably a surface described by a 1/x curve???
>>
>>4963749
it should correspond to the absorption coefficient given its location in the formula.
>>
>>4963821
pls alaborate
>>
>>4963838
the absorption coefficient is basically a representation of how much sound an object's surface.

basically, the bottom part of the formula calculates how much absorption there is by adding the absorption calculated for each object.

By dividing the volume of the room by the total absorption and multiplying it by 0.161 (constant found through observation, used for measurements involving meters), you can find the Tr, the time of reverberation.

have butte
>>
>>4963886
you still dont describe how area factors into this specific equation

the coefficient you describe is the s term, i have a table of those values already
