reality, if it exists at all, is something we are capable of experiencing directly, but only though sensations which come from our nervous system and are interpreted through our minds. if our senses are "defective", then we will experience reality differently than other people.

Since we cannot know how accurate our perception of reality is, our only choice is to act as if what we experience is the true reality, and if people tell us that they can experience something that we can''t, we must exercise good judgement when choosing whether or not to believe their claims.

Even physics science agrees with this, as seen in the theory of relativity.
