Remember: bides are very important
Why are birds so important is it that we envy their freedom, is it we envy how beautiful they are - with what majesty they carry themselves or maybe it's the profound reality that in the end all birds return to earth.

For me, I will always be envious of the birds ability to defy gravity. They get to see the world from a very unique perspective. They are the only creatures that have evolved to adapt to the sky, and they are alone in that domain. I don't see how anyone can think humans are a superior organism when we are essentially bound to the Earth for the entirety of our existence. I want to fly like an eagle

but flying is a birds nature - they don't consider it fun or freeing, to them it's how they function and survive
they're the most fleeting beauty on this earth next to a desert rose and I unironically feel this when I go out of my way to feed them. It's not godly or self-masturbatory but to just sit there and watch them touch down and just the same take off is great
I'll never know why it's so satisfying to just watch them from afar.

I understand that to a bird the ability to fly is the same as walking for us. However, this doesn't make it any less impressive to witness. The house I grew up in was on the edge of a forest, so I've appreciated the beauty of birds for a long time. We used to see rare birds like falcons and hawks and birds in the sky with wingspans so large it looked almost paleolithic. The only birds I've ever had a problem with are bluejays. Apparently they will divebomb your ass in a group if they feel the need to.
