oy vey, i took math classes up until pre-calc because it was required for a general studies degree but i am just too retarded for that kind of math. i barely passed pre-calc and i'm pretty sure the teacher only gave me a C because I was clearly making the best effort I could and still didn't really get it

The only way I was able to grasp algebra was to realize that it's basically "imaginary math". I understand that all of that stuff has real-world applications but learning it in a classroom there just didn't seem to be any context for it. It was a lot of memorizing formulas without totally grasping their functionality. That's basically what tripped me up about that kind of math
