so i have been thinking about cowe threads, and here is what i have come up with thus far.
It is said in folk lore that the meeting or the vision of meeting a pig on a road is the worst luck one can have, it symbolize utter destruction and chaos, I don't think the original poster of cowe threads was aware of this, which only makes me think more strongly that there is truth to this (archetypes live in the unconscious mind).
but what about the "cowe" i here you ask, well if there could be any way of dispelling this darkness, it could indeed be to call the pig by another name, thus not recognizing it's form.
Ok, so that covers the symbolism of you're normal cowe thread, as a sort of protection of evil by actually invoking it only to reject it, preventing it from harming you in the future.
