I believe this particular suit was made via spandex/lyrca with coats of liquid latex applied.

This is the DIY approach to latex which I've heard about, but have never really seen online.

I wonder if a fresh shine/polish would buff out the apparent scratches and that lead the jagged reflections of light.

If anyone has anymore like this, I'd like to see them.

I own two latex catsuits, that just looks like latex with some streaking from polish. Polishing latex is a laborious process, and unless you're doing a professional photoshoot you're not going to take the time to get a perfect mirror finish. Plus, even if you did, the second you touched it the look would be ruined. I'd be shocked if that was actually lycra coated in liquid latex-- the finish you'd get from that would be way, way rougher than the streaking in that picture.

Not the anon you're replying to, but I don't think latex-coated spandex is common at all. I've only seen it done once as an experiment, and the result was not at all smooth and shiny like sheets of pure latex. It's difficult to get any painted-on liquid latex to be smooth (unless maybe it's sprayed evenly on a smooth surface, not sure). I tried googling it and couldn't find anything relevant.
