I think gloves are a popular choice. For men, probably short ones are more common as it people seem to think long ones are more feminine or something. Personally, I like long either way, keeps 'em pulled taught all the way up and just feels nice to have your whole arm gently squeezed and no visible skin below your shoulders.

It could be as simple as PF's older sister set a deadline for modeling, because she wanted to raise a family. The company simply respects her privacy by giving a short answer.
