I started playing it a few days ago and I don't understand the hysteria.
Maybe they fixed the animations, I don't know.

It's probably not as good as the other games (but that's difficult to top that, they are some of the best games ever made), but it's likely fine.

Don't get it at full price.

The worst glitches and the most egregious animation errors have been fixed but the characters still move like marionettes.

The writing is fanfiction-tier but I hold video game writing to such low standards that it didn't bother me.

It's not great. I got bored of it on the first planet. If you want to try it, just pirate it, because it's not worth buying.
