why does this board feel so different from how it used to. i'm talking pre-deletion. this board used to feel like a combo of /b/, /lit/, /sci/ and some other random stuff. now, it's just tons of threads with no real consequence or theme, I forgot about them as soon as I scroll past. seems like almost every thread is about traps, dicks, porn, normies, or whatever. for some reason, people on here don't just like to talk about random things about the world anymore.

several years ago this board wasnt so hostile to normies. if a robot was trying to improve himself and be more social, other robots would encourage them. now, any mention of trying to get out and live a normal life will get people raging at you and calling you a normie. it's like you can't talk about anything in the real world anymore.

How the fuck does /b/ have more varied threads than /r9k/? The entire purpose of this board is that you can't repeat posts, and yet it feels like almost all threads are the same bullshit.

The reasonable people have left, or gone quiet. The screaming idiots are louder and more desperate. Maybe a lot of people did actually head the bleating that if your life had any hope you wouldn't be allowed here. Funny that the exclusion behavior by some of our less gifted members actually makes it worse for them. When /r9k/ was good, it was a much more accepting place. Losers, cyborgs and functional people could coexist because nobody really cared that much about who was to be accepted.

My life's improved a lot, from pathetic gamer virgin to decently respected cyborg, I don't know why I still come here. It's been 10 years now.

There was o /adv/ or /pol/ (there was /new/ tho) nor many other boards so people posted here about alot of shit, it was basically /b/ without memes or newfags, especially in late nights in weekdays. Whenever you had insomnia you could find a good thread in here.

Now it's just the failed beta's board in which they are so fed up with women that they decide to go homo.

Just imagine even more anons sharing their autistic daily lives and problems. Most of the /r9k/ userbase were teens and autistic adults around 2009 which was the golden age for robots. The whole concept of permavirgin robots was beginning to take form and there was a sense of companionship or at least some echoes from our loneliness knowing others like us existed and then it slowly transformed into pride whereas what we are was used as insult in other boards.

Solidarity broke over time and people fled to other chans, boards or simply got out of their shitty circumstances. Some of us became wageslaves, some even got a gf but others killed themselves. Regardless of what the original robots ended up like, it's very clear the board changed and it will never be the same again.
