Maybe that's the reason why you can't forget him.
When situations don't have closure, you might still think about them a lot. So, if you talk to him and try to fix the situation, you may be able to move on. Not necessarily by getting back together, but just sort out why exactly he thinks you're an abuser and such things, and ultimately talk it with him so that both of you end in good terms.
That could be a solution. Of course all of these are just my assumptions, so I can't say for sure.
