All we are is a collection of our experiences. Our lives, our thoughts, our emotions, everything that we are, our collective consciousness, is subjective. Each life differs so dramatically from person to person based on their own perception. This is sentience. The ability to perceive one's surroundings and form thoughts, concrete feelings, memories, opinions of them, is what it is to be alive.
