Did your parents ever tell you how much they earned when you were growing up?
I'm in my 20s and still don't know, but I do know they're working-poor class. They're too ashamed to confide I think.

RIP Beastman
Originally rest in peace
My family used to have real strong ties to a company in the US which made my childhood ritzy, but my dad fucked it up so my parents divorced with him moving way out of state while my brother and I lived with our mom at her mom's. My mom worked in the HR department for another company back when you didn't need a degree so she slowly learned how much it sucked to be a normal 20 something year old now a decade ago. I'm in the middle compared to my peers, who are either unhappy with their high paying jobs or unhappy with their no jobs. I don't blame my family anymore for how my life turned out, but I also wouldn't mind a boost in my career.
Give me a quick rundown on Beastman. I wasn't on R9K during his prime.

~$30K when dad was alive in the 90's
~$11K in the years after he died
~$50K now after years of my mom working
My dad earned six figures in his 20s, and owned multiple gas stations and rental properties.

i remember the first time i asked when i was applying for FASFA, mine combined made 100k a year.
then when my dad was doing his taxes he left out the W2's.
>mfw my dad had 1 W2 with 85k as the sallary
>mfw my mom had like 3 or so that made up 15K.
at first i thought "the wage gap is real!" but then i realised that one was from my mom getting fired from a job near the beginning, one from working at a school, and another working part time at a restaurant.
