Sadly, I can't really help you with that, Anon. As someone who suffered childhood divorce I have some understanding of the way childhood events can negatively shape you for life. I would suggest counselling and a meditation routine. Maybe watch some Jordan Peterson videos

I got my first ever gf aged 27. I felt over the hill but looking back, it is still a young age so if you do have opportunities in life to pursue, I would suggest really going for it. Once you get into your 30s and you are still a failure, the problems just compound year on year until you are basically beyond redemption (like me)

I can think of a hundred things I'd have done sooner in my life. But its all hindsight. The older you get, the more deterministic your thinking can become

Its possible. As a NEET aged 26, its probably fair to say that you are either seriously lacking in motivation and conscientiousness or have mental health issues preventing you from achieving success (or both). There are opportunities for self-learning like never before but you need to be highly motivated and diligent, traits that most NEETs are lacking in.

What I would say is don't make the mistake I did in thinking that 26 is "old". Believe me, a decade from now you will understand how that really feels. Don't put too much pressure on yourself but understand that you are already behind the curve if a career is what you desire. Its not too late, yet.
