I actually look deformed.

Yeah, I took a coms class first semester of college and the prof recorder our second speech, sent us the files, and made us watch them and also transcribe our speech into text. I got about 30 seconds in and I just fucking couldn't so I called me mom, emailed her the file, and asked her to do it.

>found SD card from old camera mom gave me when i was a kid
>used it to take videos of me and friends being kids
>all of them made me cringe so hard I couldn't get through like 2 of 20 or so of them
>wiped the card
It's a common feel. Whenever I talk on video it's like my mouth is moving weird
>look at self in mirror
>not bad, little pudgy on the cheeks but nice jawline
>look at self in photo/video
>holy shit I'm a monster

The quality of modern day cameras are the worst thing to ever happen to us uglies
>>39598510
That's why I never take pictures or never let anyone shoot a video of me or even me being in it
>look in a mirror
>I guess I look decent
>look in a photo
>holy fuck I'm ugly
>look at a video
>wait I don't look that bad
>I've been called both handsome and ugly
>/soc/ rates me wildly from anywhere between 4-8
I am so conflicted
A this point I would rather be ugly, I just want some certainty in my life

Focal length plays a big role in this with camera, add that in to videos, where you're not used to seeing your mouth move when you talk or how you move in general, and it gets goofy as fuck.
>>39598563
Focal length plays a part too. A fairly attractive person can look super fucked up with the wrong focal length. >>39598573
>>39598573
>wonder how I look like in motion
>stand in the bathroom recording the mirror while I'm talking to myself
>I'm pretty sure I'm home alone so why not
>want to see how I look like in a full spectrum of emotions
>start crying, shouting, and laughing all in quick order
>a minute later
>dad: what the hell are you doing?
>mfw

First kek all day, thanks anon
>>39598679
Oh no, anon, oh no
>>39598400
>look in the mirror
>Hey I look pretty good today
>take a photo of myself
>an ugly troll is staring back at me
Why are they different? Am I just subconsciously deforming the way I look?
>>39599137
I think we subconsciously reposition our faces so we look better when we're looking at ourselves in a mirror.
>look at self in car mirror
>instantly feel like shit
>>39599137
>>39599172
the image is reversed left to right in a mirror, you just get used to it that way, and then whenever you see yourself right way round it's uncomfortable, kinda an uncanny valley-style effect.
>>39599251
>image we see in the mirror isn't the thing other people see
They should make mirrors that work the other way around
Reflections in windows is where I am at my most ugly
>>39598400
I have no mirrors in my home for the exact same reason. Saw my reflection in the window a while ago. A real jump-scare moment.
