I've heard similar, though not directly to my face.

It feels so terrible to know that the idea of you loving somebody disgusts them.
I understand if somebody isn't attracted to me, that's fine, I get it, some people just aren't compatible.
But to know that the thought of me caring for and loving her inspires feelings of outright disgust hurts so fucking badly.

I've had similar too, hearing it second hand is the pits. And someone being so repulsed by you that any innocent interest you may show in them is chalked up by them to imply sexual harassment.

Also the pits is when someone just openly is repelled by you once you show interest without them verbalizing it, you can just tell in the way they change around you.
