>buy expensive desktop setup
>turns out all those graphically demanding games i wanted to play don't excite me and bore me really quickly
>start using to it to solely browse 4chan instead
who else knows this feel?
>>39579275
I have a similar problem. all I do is play ow/4chan/doujin.
>built PC for vidya not that long ago
>barely touch vidya
>if I do, they're so old a decade year old PC could run them
>mostly just browse 4chan
>end up buying drawing tablet for PC
>browse 4chan and play old shitty games
>get brand new 1080 144hz monitor (step up from 720 screen I used for years)
>figure i'll draw more, wanna play newer games, enjoy grafics
>4chan, same old shitty games and now movies
i swear having access to the internet is a problem. I'd much rather read what people have to say on a Congolese image board than do.. anything else
That's why I purchased a $150 refurbished business laptop
Vidya is a mediocre hobby anyway

Is it even worth me quitting my NEET ways to save up for a god computer?
>>39579344
I saved up for a good computer using neetbux
it isn't necessary but probably isn't worth, too
Gaming rigs are for running Doom at 200fps
>>39579356
I'd have to go out into the real world and probably get a job because entire family is dirt poor
>>39579275
>have an intel compute stick 8 watts
>34" led monitor rated at 35 watts on full brightness
>30 watt soundbar
>5 watt led bulbs in sockets throughout house
>A+ rated washer dryer
>hot showers make me greasy so I get cold
still Britishgas over chargers me and has put me into debt, I can't leave until I get my money back and trying to explain to an Indian over the phone is exhausting and gets me no where
they have taken out 1k since January
I don't watch tv and my set-up is used for media, I could probably live off the grid on a caravan battery
>>39579376
oh right
well it entirely depends on how much you want it.
would you use it often? and for good things? or just the same shit you do on your current computer?
all a decision you gotta make friendo
Pretty much, I also used it for photoshop and Cubase but I don't do that anymore either save for a couple of pic and song edits here and there.
Planning on making a very cheap silent PC that can just run Cubase and PS, the only games I play aren't very demanding at all (Rocket League and RO2).

Use my grandmas shitty computer that is going to break any day now. Honestly, I could see myself using it for gaming but nothing to intense. Pc games just all look like boring repetitive shit. I wanna have a good machine to watch/torrent anime and stuff though
>>39579275
That PC looks badass, OP. My computer is 10 years old now.
>>39579376
>Putting in all that effort for a machine that will probably get stolen and sold by one of your relatives
>spend almost 2 grand modernizing my pc setup to play all gaymes I like and future ones
>end up playing an obscure isometric java based game 24/7
>tfw spent 1800 on gaming PC
> GTX 1080 ti strix
>Getting the last three parts today and going to build it
God I hope this doesn't happen to me I'm so excited to have an amazing PC to play Witcher in 1440p
>>39579626
same happened to me, you replay those 3/4 games at max settings 144+ fps/1440p+ and after that you just play old shit and watch porn cause all new games are garbage.
Actually yes. I just spent around 400 dollars buying upgrades for my current PC and the only thing ive played on it is FTL
>Want to upgrade graphics card
>Debating about a 1070 but thinking about saving the extra and getting a 1080ti that will serve me longer
>Realise most of the games I play don't demand that much graphically and my 7970 holds it's own ok for now
>Only graphically demanding games I do play are flight sims when I can muster the energy to
>Get feelings telling me shelling out so much on a graphics card would be a waste of money
>Also want to get one as soon as incase the prices rise
Pretty much exactly what I did as well. I have a >2k rig and mainly use it to shitpost on 4chan.
>>39579275
>bought a decent right in March
i5 7600k and nvidia 1070 ftw
Barely even play anything anymore competitive games just don't interest me anymore.
Been playing a heavily modified Skyrim though which is still pretty fun
>>39579275
I dont even have the energy to sit at a desk anymore.
>>39579275
Same. I went through the trouble of buyig an expensive laptop for games when some cheap thing from the 2000s could have been enough
