80s and 90s movies for kids were all kinds of fucked. I look back on all the shit I watched and the themes were so serious and adult and philosophical. That shit would never make it into kids cartoons today. Kids are seen as too retarded now.
that movie is comfy.

great, now I have to watch it again

It didn't fuck you up, it conditioned you for the future reality. Those who are currently children in the USA are going to flip their fucking lids when they have to go through a minor hardship in their young adulthood and no, I'm not saying it's all because of watered-down cartoons, but that's part of it, the media isn't like it used to be and that bleeds into other portions of life as well. Teachers in schools no longer double as disciplinarians, they're just there to collect homework and grade it, it's a fucking mess these days.

Why do you think generation z is all hard right wing? They're such coddled little fucking bitches they don't understand that gilded age policies have severely terrible repercussions for society.

I'd reply with something relevant, if I actually knew anything about current politics. The last election was such a flaming fucking shitshow that I've turned away from it since then.

PG-13 was still new, just came about in the 80's actually. So movies still fell into either PG or R primarily until PG-13 was figured out. Roger Rabbit would definitely be PG-13 by today's standards.
