When I met my mom at the car we discussed the meal and her audio book. We both had a great time!
Who here Loves diners?

Sounds like you had a great time. They seem pretty comfy at night desu; I think I'll try going to one alone sometime
Barely any around where i live so ive to go out if my way to get to one. Really like them though.
Whenever I go to restaurants mommy has to say my order for me. Otherwise the waitress looks at me like I'm retarded and asks me to please repeat. One time I was alone at the table and the waitress came over. She asked what I wanted to drink. I started having a panic attack in my mind because I was too nervous to say anything. Thankfully my mother came to the table a few seconds later.
I can't wait for the future where you don't have to talk to people. Just press a button and my order comes out.

I used to think they thought I was retarded, too. That is until my mom convinced one of the qt waitresses to go on a date with me. I don't know how mom did this, but this lady had her hands all over me! We talked and talked, it was time to go, and she was on my arm, asking if I wanted to take things further. Told her I like to get to know her, and take it slow. She gave me a hug and that was that. Had a great time! I love diners, family friendly, they are a great first date too. I hope my mom can get that qt to go on another one!
Being from New Jersey myself, I can say with confidence that we do diners the best. They're really the most relaxing eatery you can spend a night in. I actually live right next to one I can drive to when I need a break.

I often feel like Tom Waits when I trudge into a diner. Getting off a long shift and slumping into a booth, for some country fried steak and black coffee. My stubble crackles as I run my hand cross my face, while reading the local paper.
