Why can't I quit? I hate the job. I dread going there. I hate every aspect of the work. I have enough money saved that it won't kill me to be unemployed for a while.

The only time I'm content at work is when I'm imagining that I'm about to quit. But I'm always too afraid to do it.

I pretty much work in a psych ward taking care of mentally retarded people. I hate it. I've only lasted this long because I have a car note but I can't take much more. I'm super stressed all the time even when I'm not working because I know I'll be back the next day.

It pays like $10/hr after taxes. I get great benefits but I don't care anymore it's affecting my mental health.

Working overnight stocking is awful. Literally everything is on you since no one sticks during the day here, they just walk around and zone for 8 hours a day and still have the nerve to complain. I always never get anything done because I always feel so shitty. I'm always so spaced out and anxious and I can't focus on anything. Nothing feels real and I want to die. Working has worsened my mental state so severely. I never felt this horrible being neet. I don't even care about making money and having things because living is awful anyways.

Used to be when I drove for Lowe's. Then I quit and got a closer to home job driving for HDS. Lowe's truck was an auto while this one is a 10spdr so I'm engaged all day. Day is pretty simple. Come in, check my deliveries, load up my truck, do my deliveries in however long it takes me. Usually be doing 10hr days. Mimimal supervision, get to stop and get coffee, food whenever I want, listen to anime songs with the aux cord. Drive avg of 160 miles a day.

Eh half and half. When I clock in it takes me around two hours to load up my truck. Then again everything is by forklift. I secure my load and start driving to my stops. Most places a construction sites so sometimes they have their own lifts and take their shit off my truck themselves. Sometimes I'll turn on the ol' piggyback lift and unload myself. It's good because there's not a lot of manual labor. The heavy lifting is always done by machines.

Nah you do. My route is is South SF Bay so I'm doing SF and all of Silicon Valley. It's not bad tho because construction sites are fenced off and usually have room to turn that big ass truck around. One of the drivers tho does SF. I don't envy him at all.

It sounds like a lot but sometimes the stops is like a box of nails, or some joist hangers for nails. So basically little shit I put in the box in this pic >>39507922 so I just drive to the stop, hand them the box and go.
Being a stop is relatively quick. 30 min max. What kills your is traffic. So let's say you allot 30 min per stop and 30 min driving from stop to stop you can do around 8. Of course sometimes a stop takes 5 min or sometimes you get stuck in traffic for 1 hr. I start early at 6Am and usually clock out at 4:30pm-5:00pm. So I average 10hr days. I've done almost 13hrs before tho on a really busy day but not often. Here in California 1.5hr overtime is paid after the 8th hour so my checks are nice.
