>Be me, anxious 24 year old
>Walk with eyes pointing down all the time, noticibly sweat when talking to strangers and lower voice a lot
>Notice a new crossfit gym will open right in front of my house
>"Fuck it" have a rush and decide to sign in
>Room full of crossfit chads and staceys
>They are fucking nice with me, I can't speak though, feel like they're judging me
>Sign in and I'll start on Monday my first class
Now I'm regretting my choice just because of the thought that the class will be full with fucking adonises and they might judge me for being silent, skinny and weird.
Why am I like this?
What should I do on Monday?
Go in there and get fit.
They really dont give a shit about you, theyre far too busy being insecure about themselves to notice your problems.
Just like you dont notice their problems cuz youre insecure af yourself.

ive been in your situation dude
just go to the place and try it out,

best case scenario, you get fit

anyone who goes to a gym and judges others for being greater/lesser than themselves isn't someone with an opinion worth anything
you're literally there to better yourself, so focus only on yourself.

This is 100 percent correct.
Everybody has spotlight syndrome: They think they're far more noticable than they actually are. I'm one of these people as well.

I just hate myself for not being able to not be nervous about just being with other people. Thought this would be a nice way to try to be more normal. Now I just feel more anxious
Every time you show up it gets easier. Just focus on your workout
>crossfit
Enjoy your fucked up body
just give up, there's no point in even trying.
>>39476918

Why? What could happen to my body? Everyone there was athletic and slim.

You'll be fine, most forms of sport have some supposed drawbacks which won't affect you in 99% of the cases. Don't get addicted to sports and you'll be fine. Also, congrats, seems like you have something going for you, it's okay to stress out at first but it'll be fine and a good opportunity. If you spill your spaghetti everywhere just stop going and hope you never see them again.

>CrossFit
Go to an actual gym OP
