Would dump a whole lot about him and/or stories, but I think I made my point. He was fucking fustrating. I and a few other fellas were nice with him (as in civil, no name calling or direct shooing), and boy was he clingying on us after. I eventually had enough and vented to one of my fellow peers to which he replied "dude, gtfo, autissts are schmarkter than normal ppl and better in sciences'n'shiet". He was fucking dumb as a bag of hammer, even if you gave him a simple pattern, he won't struggle to find it, because he wouldn't aknoweledge/try to find it's presence at all.

I always find it funny when the parents of autistic child tell people to stop focusing on tbe "autism awareness" bullshit because there are a lot worse things that need awarenesses and they know how to handle it well. Just recently I was required to attend a seminar about autism and the lady that ran it said it's fucking tiring that attentionwhores have to continue using it as a form of attention when she herself has two children with the poor level of functioning of autism without any savant abilities (which only account for 10% btw). She just flatout told the group that she is being required to do this by her employer because she had two children w/autism so they can spread autism awareness when it is bullshit because of what I mentioned above.

I'm gonna take the bait hard and just reply sincerely to this one.
First of all, we're not retarded. Sure, the autistic savant trope is largely a myth and a whole fuckton of us are actually pretty dumb, but that's a statistical correlation, not a defining quality of autism.
Second, we're people. We're not soulless automatons. We experience the full spectrum of human emotions and have trouble expressing or dealing with them because we just have a different interface. I know it's not as outwardly visible as it could be, but there's actually something happening behind our eyes.
Third, I know I'm weird. I know I can't say anything with my voice or do anything with this spastic fucking body without it being goofy or cringy by merit of the fact that it's me doing it. And it admittedly really fucking hurts when I think about it, because cringy is the worst thing you can be and because I'd like to be taken seriously, but then I remember that I shouldn't even take myself that seriously to begin with.
Lastly, we don't just have meltdowns because we're born assholes. Our wiring is often pretty different, and things can be overwhelming for us pretty easily. If I were nonverbal and didn't have language to express or clarify my thoughts, I'd probably react the same way to being overloaded as nonverbal folks do. Crowds and eye contact are naturally a little uncomfortable. We're not trying to be antisocial or shifty.
I honestly don't know what else to say. I like me. I try to be a considerate person. I have family and friends and exes who are autistic, and I think they're worthwhile people. The idea that people would just abort us if genetic testing were widely available honestly scares me and makes me sad.

all meming aside, I find that autistic people are genuinely unnerving people to be around. even if youre talking to a regular neurotypical who is simply socially inept or socially phobic you can still tell your speaking to a human, regardless of how poor their social skills are. when speaking with an autistic it can be hard to convince yourself youre talking to a human regardless of how outwardly social they may appear. they fail to connect with other humans at a primordial level and this triggers an almost uncanny-valley effect, and makes people feel very very uncomfortable.

Too fucking bad, when you sign up to have a kid, you also sign up for anything that could go wrong.
She might have had a kid with heart problems, or a kid who was blind. Who fucking knows.
When you *DECIDE* to be a parent, you don't get to pick what your kid is like. There is a chance of autism, especially with older moms.

I'm very empathetic. I feel joy when others are joyful, I feel anxious when others get anxious, I feel pain when other people feel pain, the whole shebang. I'm just bad at reading people. It's not that I don't empathize or care if somebody's clearly feeling a certain way or if they communicate it to me.
And besides, functioning as a social creature and appreciating people, for me, involves having to get to know how I work without a frame of reference in the world at large, plus getting to know how normal people work without a reference to myself. Obviously the difference isn't so great that I'm a fucking space alien, but there's more empathy demanded of us to begin with.

It really sucks. I can't form any sort of social bonds with the people I interact with, even in college where they force us to talk to each other, I'd be sitting alone by the second or third class. It's so lonely. I'm not an asshole by the way, I go out of my way to be as kind and polite as possible.
