Why is this such an issue? Literally just shave it. I shave it all the time, sometimes I don't even use shaving cream and just do it when I feel uncomfortable. Same thing with shaving balls, I just shave them. The only way you can fuck it up is if you are intentionally trying to.

Get on your back in the bath and lift your legs up. Soap that shit up, delicately feel around the area for hair or use a mirror and use a sharp new razor to shave off any hairs.
I always recommend shaving down there over waxing, unless you're going to a professional then it's got a high chance of getting a rash or going wrong.
But if you really like a bit of pain you can use tweezers to tweeze out the individual hairs, feels pretty nice actually

It's more easy just to get IPL or laser'd. Waxing is an expensive meme.

If not that, than yeah, razoring in the shower is easiest. Or bath too, but then you have to deal with sitting in a putrescent pool of hair.
