Yeah, kind of screwed myself over.

Please go into detail. Most people who have kids on here jus ttalk about how great it is, but most parents I see seem stressed to the eyeballs.

That. Its just a lot of stress. I have a 6 year old daughter and god knows the shit i have to put up with. Is not that she doesnt obey or anything, she is pretty well educated, but the moods, having to threaten her to eat her fucking food, non stop talking and talking and talking, etc, it gets quite tiresome. Dont get me wrong, i love her, even if im awful at showing it, but i really miss being alone and living only for myself. Maybe having more money would solve it.

I dont have much more to say honestly. Just wanted to know any other anons with similar experiences. Im already beyond the "connecting with my child" thing, to be honest, but im still hoping i can do it once she matures. I might be too emotionally stunted to be a good father, which is also stressing. Sometimes i feel im just an authority figure/ideal for her.

Agree with this. I have three girls though and while it's a huge amount of work and worry and stress, they also kind of help out with each other as well. They're still quite young though.
