The government cannot act efficiently for shit. People who support high taxes think that throwing money at problems solves them. They also forget that taxes are not some bottomless well and that every dollar that goes to the government is a dollar less the taxpayer could have used investing in their own life and the lives of others (on their own initiative).

Only the private sector can provide the best service at the lowest price. The government by definition has no competition and no true incentive to do better. Only very few industries should be publicized.
