I used to go, but I stopped because I couldn't take it anymore. A roastie telling me "go outside and make friends" is bad, but this one that I went a few weeks ago actually told me to "go to church and seek Jesus' help". I mean, really? Does anyone here actually got any useful advice/help from a therapist?
I think it is fairly hard to find a good therapist. I had luck finding one at the second try. It has helped a lot, but it won't work unless you invest yourself in the therapy. It doesn't work just by going to the appointments.

I never went to a therapist. Although recently my mom keeps bringing it up whenever I go visit her. I don't see how a therapist would be able to help me. There's nothing that they can tell me that I don't already know.

Freinds would help op
Therapists never helped me but I was a total spazz till I made freinds with people who actually cared about me and wanted to help me learn to deal with my issues better and be better at socialising until I met them I would try to od all the time and fight nearly everyone I met and had no idea how to talk to people but they really helped me to develop psychogically to the point I'm not too far from normal
I know it's hard to meet people like this and can take years but at least try to go outside once a week and talk to at least 1 person ever if it's just the person at the counter in a shop or something
The problem with therapists is that they exist to tell you what is wrong with you and methods of dealing with it, but it really isn't hard to find out what is wrong with all of us. we are just so depressed that we choose not to take the obvious solutions because they disgust us.
Telling you to go to church is 10 times better than "just go outside lol" at least its specific.
Go to an Orthodox church m8
